TFAA Partners:
The TFAA is working with the following companies in order to offer premium services and discounts to our members.
New York Life
Health Insurance, Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement Planning, where do you start? The key to achieving long-term stability is planning. As an athlete, you must take control of your own financial destiny moreso than the average person because you do not have an employer to steer you in the right direction. The advantage of this is that you get to customize your financial planning and insurance selections. And you don't have to do it alone. New York Life has partnered with the TFAA to help you not only secure proper health insurance but also identify exactly what you should be doing with your money now so that it is still working for you long after you stop competing.

Vaughn Center
The Vaughn Center is an organization dedicated the enhancement of the athlete's mind, body, and spirit.
We can offer support in the following areas:
Mentoring - With the kind of focus it takes to succeed in the highly competitive world of track & field, it takes an incredible amount of mental and emotional maturity to keep life in balance. One can only excel on the track with a life in chaos for so long. Eventually, the imbalances off the track begin to trickle into performance states which causes athlete's to underperform. Through the Vaughn Center's programs, athletes learn how to keep their careers in perspective, how to develop their mental and emotional talent, how to become authentic leaders leveraging the stage of sport to influence positive change in the world, and improve overall quality of life.
Mentoring is offered in "distance-coaching" programs, workshops, and retreats.
Retirement/Transition - It's no secret that highly competitive athletes have serious difficulties managing the process of transitioning into life after sport. With this highly sensitive issue at heart, the Vaughn Center has designed unique programs that guide athletes into recovery, renewal, and re-identification so that they can leverage their former careers as stepping stones into greater achievement, influence, and impact in the world.
Retirement/Transition programs are offered in workshops, retreats, and "distance-coaching" only as a follow up to the retreats.

Anne Audain
Anne Audain qualified for 6 Olympic Games for New Zealand - 1972-1992 - in every distance from 800m to marathon, and she is a former world record holder in the 5K. She pioneered professionalism for female track and field competitors by accepting prize money at the first professional event in 1981 which resulted in a "temporary" lifetime ban from the sport.
Born with severe bone deformities in both feet, Audain was unable to walk correctly until re-constructive surgery at age 13. Three years later she qualified for the 1972 Munich Olympic Games in the 1500m. Anne always wanted to teach because she believed in giving children the self-esteem necessary to reach their goals and dreams. Today she relies on her running experiences and other accomplishments to teach through her motivational speaking and other activities.
A documentary film has been made about her life, "Running Her Way," and she co-authored her biography "Uncommon Heart" with John L. Parker, Jr, the author of the famous running novel "Once A Runner."
