I'm a current Track & Field/Cross Country student-athlete at Northwest Missouri State University and dual contracted in the Army (National Guard and ROTC).
"I'm disgusted with the fact that most Americans know who some professional golfers are but can't name the "World's Fastest Man" or the "World's Greatest Athlete." I want to see money pumped into the sport that has the true athletes and spark the same hunger for Track & Field that is seen for Football and Basketball. Some day I want my kids to be able to both participate in and spectate Track & Field more easily instead of resorting to watching behind a computer screen while lesser activities get big corporate sponsorships and national air time."
